Deleting saved passwords

I work in a college and loan out ipads to students and staff. Someone decided to allow safari to remember their password for a website. However, when i go to delete it, it will ask me to delete it, then delete it. However, if I go back to the menu, and then select saved passwords again - it will be there. Any ideas on how to delete it pernamently?

I'm running out of ideas, but I've had a bad run the last couple of days and I think age is starting to catch up to me, But I digresss, sorry ....

Try this now, settings>Safari>Passwords & Autofill. Turn everything off that is in that setting, then go in and delete the log in information in Saved Passwords.

And it is ****** cold here, let me tell you! 😀

I have one lousy trick left up my sleeve other than restoring the device as new ... And that should totally erase the sucker, but see if this will work.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. That returns the iPad settings to factory defaults and in theory, returning the settings to factory defaults would erase anything customized in the settings - such as saved passwords and log in items.

You will not lose any data, if that matters, but all device settings will have to be entered again.
