I have a few 5.1 Channel surround sound mixes taken from a 5.1 AUDIO DVD that were encoded to FLAC on my desktop; how do I get them in itunes so I can use airplay through apple tv???

iTunes cannot play FLAC files. Use a 3rd party converter to convert them to Apple Lossless.

Any luck with this? I'm simply trying to get some audio from 5.1 to stereo to play on my iPhone. With the 'flac' command line utility, I've been able to go from: 24/96-5.1-FLAC to RAW to WAV-stereo, but I end up with all vocals in the left channel and it sounds terrible on headphones, which is the whole point of putting it on the iPhone.
anyway to play files in 5.1 channel surround sound (flac/lossless) in itunes?
