scan ir 2018

I cannot use my scanner CANON IR 2018 with my mac IOS 10.9.1. I had already installed the printer driver, and it works as printer but not as scanner.

What can I do?

Thank you

MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Sorry if I have confused you. Canon makes two versions of the iR2018. There is the iR2018 which has no send function. And there is the iR2018i which has a send function. So if your model is an iR2018i, then you can push scan a document to the shared folder on the Mac. So before I give you information on how to configure push scanning, can you confirm if you have an iR2018i. Note the letter i after the number. If you have an iR2018, without the letter i after the 8, then this model does not have the send function so you will not be able to push scan to the Mac.

Hello after 2 month - I found this toppic today (last day of life my ir2018 😠😢) but I have this problem a few months.

Sorry for my english 😕 I hope you understand me 🙂

I resolved my problem with ir2018 in 1/2 - installed Virtual Box with Windows and installed iR2018, but I have only WinXP (legal). If you have it too, you should get drivers for UR II LT for Windows (no for PCL 6 or 5e). Programe for scanner: Paper Scan (others, which I found doesn't saw scanner).

iR is connect with router across Eth input. It's working as a printer and as a scanner. Directly or usb connect doesn't work with scanner.

I hope my idea help you resolve your problem, and I hope Canon help us (in the end!) to work with iR2018 (it isn't so young, but its good hardware - why they made so good machine, if they doesn't let us to work with this 😉).

Good luck!
