Does running Windows in Bootcamp give a user the freedom of Windows?

Fori instance, if I'm using Bootcamp to run Windows on my Mac, can I use applications like f.lux that do not normally work in the Mac environment?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
