FIGURED OUT MY OWN PROBLEM. NO PLUS ➕ SIGN REQUIRED IN iMAC NUMBERS.

Your original formula works fine for me, exactly as you posted it. It is a strange way to write it but it still works

You must've had some other problem as adding a negative number is fine:

As you can see the result of adding -100 to 100 is 0
