Which GPS is used? Internal or External?

I have an external GPS receiver (GNS2000) connected to my iPad Mini Retina (3G+WiFi) via bluetooth. I have good location info within my apps but how do I find out or make sure that the location info is taken from the external GPS instead of the internal one?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

Try Airplane mode and then override the Bluetoouth connection manually as explained here

There is (still) no control over the internal GPS unfortunatley.
