using snow leopard and can't get it to stay in 32 bit mode so I can watch movies on Netflix

Anyone know how to get Snow Leopard to stay in 32 bit mode so I can watch movies on Netflix? I tried holding down the 3 and 2 on startup and it doesn't work.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), just installed snow leopard

Try setting the kernel in terminal by following the steps below if you want it to start in 32-bit mode.

OS X: Starting up with the 32-bit or 64-bit kernel
