I can't seem to make it do that to my Mac.

Assuming you are using Safari, go to the Safari menu and select Preferences... then Extensions. Describe what you see there. If there are any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.

Then, select the General tab. Set your home page accordingly.

Determine if that fixes it.

Launch Google Chrome.

On the menu bar on the top, click Chrome.

Then click preferences.

On the left hand side of the page, under Chrome, you will see that you are currently on Settings.

Right above that is Extensions...click on that.

Then delete the flipora extension (not just disable it).

If you don't know which one exactly is the flipora extension (like in my case), just remove any extension which seems unfamiliar or malicious. Ads by Vidx is one for example.

Hope this helps

Hello Louisa,

Perhaps you should re-consider how much you really need Google Chrome. It is a ready source of problems, particularly for those who download lots of extentions.

The Google testing program appears suspect and many extentions conflict with each other as well as those of Apple. In addition, some include links to malware. I personally was nearly caught with the nefarious MacKeeper.

Unless you have a special reason I would recommend you use Safari or Firefox.
