downloaded u torrent so i could upgrade to snow leopard. once i did that i went to open the program. it restarted itself and has been frozen ever since. when i turn it on it takes way to long to boot up. and when it finnaly does its freezez on the utorrent downloading page..
Downloading stolen software from a torrent site often results in you getting malware.
I would assume that you have Leopard OSX disks? if so, insert the disk and hold the C key down. If the computers boots from the disk select utilities and erase the disk. Afterwards, if you have backup you can try to restore it, or reinstall Leopard anew.
If you see the name uTorrent, it has to be viewed with doubt. Do not download, do not even read the blurb, avoid it like the plague. Oh, and just try Spotlight by feeding in MacKeeper.
Trust me i know!! I just got tiered of seein all the stuff my mac could do.. but no i dont have the disk is there anything else i might be able to do?? Ive already hard reset it and everything
Do you have a Time Machine or aother external disk backup?
If not, I am afraid your only recourse is to purchase the OSX disk directly from Apple online store.
So i finally got the Snow Leopard dvd from apple . com but it wont install on my computer!! its takin forever and dosnt go below 11 min left and when it does it went into the negative 1 hour and 15 min. i dnt know what i should do any sugestions???
Before you tried to download Snow Leopard (via Torrent), what was the OS version you were using?
Did you check out your machine to see if it was capable of running Snow Leopard?
If not, read through this document and check your machine.

Then post back with your findings and specifically how much RAM you have and whether you have the facilities, Find any File and / or Easy Find.
