Can't open a pages document

I can't open a document I made in pages. It says that I need to download the latest version. However I have downloaded it and it still won't open. When I go on to the app store it says 'already downloaded'! Please help!!!

I can’t open or delete a pages file on my ipad, it says “file doesn’t exist”. Could you help me how to delete the file?

I created a pages file today and cannot open it later. Any straight forward solution ? Is pages app seriously defective ?
