I have tried to download Google voice from the iTunes store. It will not download.

I want to use Google voice to record a phone call for an interview. I went to the App store and tried to download Google Voice.

It asked for my Itunes log in. I tried to log in and it would not work.

then, it asked me to reset my Itunes password. I tried to reset with the system. I never received the e mail. I tried several times with no success.

I have used this same password on my computer for Itunes with no problem.

Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

There are two very distinct issues here:

Since Google Voice is only available in the U.S., I can tell you it is almost certainly illegal to use Google Voice to record a telephone call. Telephone calls cannot be recorded legally without many prerequisites.

Might your purchases (free or not) be restricted? Check Settings > General > Restrictions

Google Voice does, in fact, have the option of recording incoming calls (it gives a recorded messages before it starts). Google apparently leaves it up to the user to determine the legality of using that feature in their jurisdiction.

Try this for resetting your apple id password:

If you have access to the email address associated with your Apple ID

  1. Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
  2. Click "Manage your Apple ID", then click "Forgot your password?".
  3. Enter your Apple ID and click Next.
  4. Select "Email authentication" as your authentication method. Click Next.
  5. Apple will send a message to the email address associated with your Apple ID. Open the message and click "Reset Apple ID password".
  6. When the My Apple ID page opens, enter and confirm your new password, then click Reset Password.

Good luck Friend.

According to Google, Google voice is deprecated and is no longer supported. Google now recommends theit Google Hangouts application for the iOS. I've used it and is LOTS better than the old Google voice app.

That started to happen quite a bit after this thread was last active. Personally, I don't really use the mobile app. I use the Google Voice service to manage voicemail and call forwarding across my multiple phone numbers. That requires the desktop version.
