Windows 98 on new MacBook Pro

I was wondering if its possible to install Windows 98 in Boot Camp on my new 2013 MacBook Pro. I have some old Windows 98 PC games that I'd love to be able to play when I travel.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Boot Camp for Mavericks isn't happy running Windows 7 let alone anything earlier. However, you can virtualize Windows 98 using VMware Fusion, and probably Parallels and Virtual Box. I'm sure about Fusion since I have Windows 95 running in it.

Can't say since I don't use virtual machines for games. But virtualized performance will always be a bit poorer than something like Boot Camp because the Windows software is being partially shielded from what's really incompatible hardware. Still, I expect that any games written in the days of Windows 98 would be running on what could pass for a super computer back then.
