Yet another Compressor 4.1 Crashing Issue

Before I start please let it be known that I have done a search and have seen the problems that others have been having and I have tried a number of possible solutions but still having issues.

Here is my version of the crashing issue. I had compressor before the udpdate and have been able to use it on a number of occasions. So at least I know that it worked before.

Whether sending to compressor for FCP X or just opening Compressor on its own it will boot up and show me the correct screen with either the add button or the video I sent over from FCP X. If sent from FCP X and I click the job to see the preview the application hangs and locks up. If I click "add output" the program crashes and quits with a message that it has been closed and if I want to reopen it.

Solutions I have tried:

1. Deleted the Compressor folder in Library

2. Reset preferences

3. Uninstalled and reinstalled

4. Removed the Qmaster Folder

Pretty much everything found here I've tried.

if you have matrox presets - delte those and uninstall the software - that worked for me..

have you looked throughthe /var/logs (system.log) ? see whats in ethre. Of you set up a custer, then look through the logs in ~/Library/Logs?Compressor. - use /applications/utilities/console.app

DO you have any symptom dumps? Have a look through those . THe first page or so will tell you what thread pranged then look down to see what called that. may point to some dodgy data.

As to the their posts, their questio of 3rd Party plugins - worth removing those form FCPX and see if that helps else.. me Suspects the essence you are sending to Compressor.app from FCPX storeyline (project) might be the culprit.

Some thoughts?

In FCPX 10.1.1, have you been able to COMPLETELY render the primary storyline et al (the whole project) prior to sending it to COmpressor.app V4.1?
IF so, in FCPX 10.1.1, try SHARE export a MASTER (+e) from the storyline (project) and then try ADDING that to a compressor batch in two setps.. do you still get ANY error or failure? IF so look i te logs
Should you be able to export a MASTER.mov , play the movie master back in QT7 PRO or QT player and see if theres any glitches in it.

Worth a look.
