It won't install on my friend's computer

When i try to install itunes, it says the following (near the end of installation)

Error 1402, Could not open key:

HKEY LOCAL/MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/RUN. Verify that you have sufficient access to the key, or contact your support personnel.


what is wrong and how can I fix it?
