Is the charger adapter for ipods the same for all generations?
I have a nano 1st generation that came with a usb cable and I bought a charger (long time ago). So, will i have to buy a new charger if i want to buy an itouch 5? Thank you.

Yes, the cable are not interchangeable. The 5G iPod is the first to use the smaller Lightning connector compared with the 30-pin connector used on previous iPod including the iPod Nano before the 7G Nano
I know the cables are not interchangeable, but how about the charger? I think the part that goes into the pc/laptop should be universal, thus it should well work with the usb power adapter, right? I have found out here that it is compatible: http://http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD836LL/A/apple-12w-usb-power-adapter
USB is USB, all have a standard output, it's the other end that changes. but the power output is the same. Hope this helps, Good luck.
