Simple question, but no simple answer it seems. I am preparing a Keynote presentation and want my writing to appear as columns beginning from the top. So the following statement, "How are you?" would appear as:

Any suggestions on how to do this? The closest information I can find is rotating the text, which is not what I need.

Apple makes it clear on the iWork purchase pages that Asian vertical text is not yet supported:
So for that kind of thing you need to use someone else's apps. But Apple's TextEdit app does support Asian vertical text.
For the kind of thing you see in PowerPoint, I think you can do something similar by manipulating text boxes in Keynote (rather than using returns):

Enter the text with a carriage return after each letter.
I should add, my question is equivalent to how one makes "stacked text" in Powerpoint.
