So, Ive only had the iphone for about a month or so and since day one its felt like this. Sometimes it feels smooth but most of the time it feels rough. It's really annoying, Is there anything I can do to fix this? Should I take to the apple store? Anyone else having this problem? Any help is much aprecciated.
Definitely take to Apple. Make Genius reservation and take to Apple Store. If there are any problems show Genius a display model iPhone 5S so you can show them how your iPhone should be.
If it feels smooth sometimes and rough at other times, the screen is dirty. Clean it with a slighlty damp, soft cloth.
Or you fingers are dirty.
The screen glass does not change from smooth to rough back to smooth.
I have been using an iPhone 5 and I did experience change in touch experience. It's rough most of the time! I have used my friend's iPhone 5s and 5c and their touch feel is a lot smoother. Are there any differences in the screens? Should I get it checked?

No.
You should clean the screen.
Did you remove the plastic covering the screen when you first purchased it?
Yes I did remove the plastic covering and yes I do clean the screen with an optic cloth and LCD cleanser. Even after cleaning the screen and making sure my fingers aren't dirty either, it still feels smudgy and rough. Sort of resisting free movement on the screen.

Don't use LCD cleaner.
Use plain water.
IPhone 5s screen feels rough when using it.
