is there away to yse Serial No to flag a device as stolden on Itunes?.. so the next time the device gets sync to itunes, I could possible get the account info to possible try and trace the device..
I notice when I first plug the device in it ask me to regerter it.. so I guessing the device can show how be track via itunes account on who might use/sync it

The Classic does not use the same operating system as the iOS devices and cannot be setup that way. All you can do is report it as stolen and file an insurance claim if you have coverage.
well I did file it to the local police.. I thought maybe some how Itunes and Itunes accounts can track it server side since when u plug it in on a new system it ask to regerster it..
Unfortunately the only devices that can be tracked are the iOS and Mac OS X devices that are setup to connect with iCloud. With that arrangement the user is able to "see" the device if it is turned on and connected to the Internet . There is no other tracking that Apple provides to the user.
