I don't want to type in every possible combination. That website Study Island seems to randomly generate a new web server every time you login.

"Allow an etire domain" for what? Can you be a little more specific?
So I want any site that is in the studyisland.com domain to be white-listed. That includes anything before the period including www, mail, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. For example I want http://www.studyisland.com, http://mail.studyisland.com, http://1.studyisland.com, http://2.studyisland.com, http://3.studyisland.com to all be allowed without having to type them all in manuallly. My reason for that is that Study Island puts a different number in front of the period every time. I assume that each number represents a different web server.

Why would you need to white list it? None of the parental controls should restict it.
They do. Try it yourself if you doubt me.
Actually I'm not sure if you can. You would need to login for it to be blocked. The www.studyisland.com front page is not blocked.

I can confirm that they do. I just posted about this myself. The problem is totally random... not the same on every iPad I supervise. It's insane. I have tried removing restrictions using Apple Conifgurator and within the iPad without success. It blocks students after they log in, usually when they are trying to open an assignment. I tried white listing http and https versions of studyisland.com and theisland.studyisland.com.
Obviously you can't just do the brackets in Apple Configurator. You have to do each URL one at a time. https://app122.studyisland.com, then https://app123.studyisland.com, then https://app124.studyisland.com...etc. Time consuming, but the closest thing to a solution I've come up with.
I will give it a shot. Apple really should solve this problem internally if they're going to be involved in education. This is insanely silly. Thanks for your help.
Apple does a lot of insanely silly things when it comes to education. They have their heads pretty far stuck up their ***. Glad I could help 🙂
I have tried white listing every single studisland site that gets restricted, and it STILL blocks them. Apple has screwed the pooch on this. They've rendered their product useless for the purpose of using Study Island.
What if I want to allow an entire domain?
