HP Laserjet 4050 Not Responding

Hello,


I just upgraded to Mavericks and my HP Laserjet 4050N is no longer connecting. I'm connecting via ethernet. I had previously set it up with these instructions:

I tried doing this over again, but still no luck. I also tried resetting the printing system. I already regret upgrading to Mavericks. Thanks, Apple. Ugh.

Please help! This is a great printer and I don't want to be forced to get a new one. I've tried looking for a current driver but can't find one. If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the continuing support on this problem. It was working fine, then it suddenly stopped working. I fixed it once by manually reentering the IP Address in System Preferences. Then it stopped working again. Reentering the IP address didn't fix it this time.

I doubt that it's the network card on the HP because it was working flawlessly until I updated to Mavericks (grrrr).


I will try the USB-Parallel adapter next.
