Is there an app that makes it possible to write and send a text via the iPhone, from a computer? Have seen a few that seems to have the option to write it and send it to the iPhone, but then you have to send it on the phone anyway... Oh, and I'm using Windows 7 (64).

I'm trying to figure this out as well. Incredible that it isn't standard to the platform. Blackberry does and works great. Even Whatsapp has a desktop version which works perfect. sigh.

You can send texts through wattsapp. https://web.whatsapp.com/
You can only send texts to WhatsApp users that way. No use at all for most people.

Nice one...forgot all about Whatsapp....on my ANDROID I used to use MyPhoneExplorer which is brill...shame its not a cross-platform app

Android has mighty text which links through your google account. It’s great and this is the reason I cannot switch to iPhones. Thought Apple would have stepped up by now but I will have to wait :-/
