okay, if you're getting that error message when
launching itunes, but your
QuickTime is launching fine, it's plausible that you've got a damaged itunes preferences file.
if that's what is going on, we can usually get past it by "rebuilding" the itunes preference files. for the rebuilding technique, see the following user tip (it's on a different topic, but the preference file rebuild technique is the same).
