HELP with M-Audio Ozone, can't hear my guitar or vocals!

I have a new Imac intel, first Mac I have every owned! And to record vocals and guitar I got an M-Audio Ozone. Problem is I CAN'T seem to get any sound out of my guitar or mic. I can hear the piano though. I have switched the audio inputs and outputs to Ozone and then back again and I still can't hear any REAL instruments. I don't have Moniors yet so I just have my old PC speaks plugged in. I have also just tried the MAC speakers, but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Not sure what to try next!

Thanks

imac intel Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Wow, thanks for the quick reply! It's torture to have this new toy & not be able to get it to work.

Yes, I have turned monitor on. I can hear the keyboard through the computer, but when I plug my electric guitar and/or mic into the M-Audio Ozone, I can't hear the guitar on the computer. It doesn't look like GB is even registering the signal from the guitar. I'm stumped. Have tried what seems like every combo of selections from system settings, etc... I'm hoping it's just a set up thing, not that I have a bad Ozone...

Any other tips on things I should check? Appreciate the help!

First off, ignore my comment about the ßETA driver, I made the mistake of assuming since it was displayed on the page along with the driver I selected (the intel 10.4.6) it too was for the ozone. After actually reading the page, I see those are just listings of the latest drivers for whatever they have.

Now, back on topic, I'm not sure what to suggest next. I have no experience with the ozone (I didn't even know it was a keyboard/interface until I looked it up). The correct steps SHOULD be:

1) Install the latest driver

2) select the ozone in GB's prefs

3) Create a Real track (I generally recommend a "New Basic Track" from the menu)

...and you should be Good To Go.

It might be worth checking out Track Info to see what Channels are available. It might be worth taking a look to see what can be selected.

Hopefully someone else might come along with some other ideas

I DID IT! Thanks for hanging in there with me. You'll never guess what worked. I reset the Ozone keyboard to the factory presets (press the MIDI button while powering on), and then voila - all is well. Something got way off on the Ozone obviously, not my settings w/GB or mac.

Again, thanks for all your help & suggestions! I almost gave up, figuring my Ozone was busted. Your tips kept me trying more things.

Thanks!!
Gotta go play my guitar now! 🙂
