itunes will not open and says R6034 an application has made an attempt to load runtime library incorrectly, I tried to load it twice but nothing

Ok. So I finally figured it out. Basically what I had to do was uninstall everything Apple, Quicktime, Safari, etc. Once I did that I was able to delete all of the specified folders. I can only assume that one of those other programs has something that was opening on startup and preventing me from deleting the directories. Anyway, all is well now. Thanks for all of your help!

For anyone with the same issue note 3 in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for WIndows updates recommends a tool for working out which process is attached to the folder. You can either stop the process manually or use the tool to force the deletion.

Thanks so much worked for me too. Relieved it wasnt the fault of my PC, but really Apple should be more careful with software releases, this has wasted over 2 hours of my time.
