Have a 200 + page doc, would like to select about half to place in another doc.
An earlier post advised selecting the required pages in thumbnail view and copy and paste into second doc. No problem with single page that way but how to select the multiple pages.
Would appreciate some guidance please.
Am using Pages Maverick.
Hold down SHIFT to select consecutive pages in thumbnail, and COMMAND to select mutliple (but not consecutive pages). At the end of selection, copy and then paste to new document.

Neither works, subsequent pages are not highlighted to confirm selection.
Checked version of pages again, it's 09; not Maverick, although it was downloaded and installed it.
I just tested this, you're correct. Apologies.
You have to copy and paste the content or sections and paste into one document. This is for the word processing version of Pages 09. I don't know about the page layout version.

This is what I found,
make a section around the consective pages to be copied,
in thumbnail view, hold down shift key, right click on first page in section of interest, select copy,
in thumbnail view of second document, right click and select paste.
transfer complete.
Found clicking in body of second document, ie not the thumbnail view, paste will only transfer text and not images.
I do have difficulty in splitting sections - will search forum
Make sure you are indeed using Pages '09 and you must copy from thumbnails and into thumbnails, not the text.

Splitting sections now okay.
My problem was trying to split sections containing facing pages. Solution was to convert to single page layout temporily and, as had been mentioned in earlier posts, clear the pages concerned of carriage returns etc.
