Why won't iTunes 11.1.4.62 detect my iPod Touch 5th Generation?

This began to hapen yesterday after my iTunes software downloaded the update, I restarted my Laptop but now I connect my iPod Touch 5th Gen to my laptop and iTunes won't detect it, I've tried stopping and restarting the apple mobile device and ipod services but nothing happened, I've tried downloading the software and use the repair function but it didn't work, I tried the repair function from the Windows Control Panel, still nothing, I unistalled iTunes and reinstalled it but it still won't detect my iPod, hoping that someone could help me find a solution to this.
