Can I Connect My PS4 To My Mac?

Hi, as the title suggests, I'm wondering how or if I connect my PS4 to my mac.

I am using a MacBook Pro that I got in 2011 and have it connected to a Thunderbolt Display. Do I have to connect my PS4 to my Mac? Or can I simply just connect it to the display? What sort of hardware will I need to do this? Any settings that I might need to change?

I would prefer to be able to just use my Thunderbolt Display if that's possible.
