My iPhone 4s i disabled and says connect to iTunes but i canot as i have to have my password which I forgot

They may require an Apple ID for certain features, but not just to function.

I followed the directions but after i click the restore and backup button and then wait a bit itunes notifies me that i cant restore without passcode. help please?

my phonw will not move pasr the iTunes icon and the usb cord below it on the phone.... NO prmpt from computer
