24" Cinema Display does not . . . Display!

Hello, I have a Macbook with Retina Display running 10.9.1 and a 24" Cinema display which connects via mini displayport. I believe the display is from 2010 or so.

When I connected it to my new Macbook. It worked fine for about 30 minutes. The picture showed up, the USB connections worked, speakers, iSight, etc. For some reason though, now everything works EXCEPT the actual display. Nothing shows up. The Macbook detects the display. I can adjust the screen settings for it, I can mirror, the USB devices work, the iSight works, speakers work. Just no picture shows up at all. I plugged it into another computer running 10.7, and the same problem occured. I used a flashlight to see if the display is somehow on but stuck on the lowest brightness, however I don't see a thing (the brightness level on Display preferences is all the way up).

I disconnected the power many times, and nothing.

I did the pram/smu, and nothing.

I'm out of ideas.

Is it just burnt out?

Thank you

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
