I agree that getting an answer from Softbank directly is the final answer. If the options are:

A) Sit and do nothing.

B) Make a phone call or send an email.

I think 'B' is the way to go. I'm just not very confident in Softbank changing their position.

The original post is not clear if SoftBank was already contacted, but it needs to be clear to the OP that only SoftBank can unlocke it - there is no other route.
