New problem updating to iTunes 11.1.4

Like hundreds of other users I am having serious problems updating iTunes. Having tried numerous suggested solutions, all to no avail, I system restored to a point before I tried to update. Following the restore I tried to open iTunes and now I'm faced with the message, "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes".Obviously reinstalling has once again proved a complete waste of time. Please help!

The idea was to install WinRAR and use it to extract the following files from iTunesSetup64.exe

AppleApplicationSupport.msi

AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi

AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi

Bonjour64.msi

iCloud64.msi

iTunes64.msi

SetupAdmin.msi (don't install this)

Then install in the order given. The last one drives the normal installation so isn't needed when you do it this way. Chances are AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 may not install, but at least that should get iTunes working. I'm still hunting for clues as to why AMDS won't install for some people.

Any indication that your understanding of Windows iTunes 11.1.4 might help us on the Mac side of this buggy release. Download other than SU, and synch with devices are the big problems. Prpblems don't make much sense. My Lion Mac Pro refuses to elminate music that is no longer requested in synch.. iTunes doesn't show limited Music actually on the iPad, and instead refuses to elminate ( display "on ths iPad") music that hasn't been on the iPad for some months.

Did not mean to impose. Only show you what I have found to see if it sounds similar to software problems on your side.

Thanks

You do good work here!

I'm another in line who is stuck with the runtime error R6034 pop up message when running iTunes after updating iTunes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing. System restored to an earlier date 3 weeks ago, Nothing.

It's frustrating as I do not use iTunes for my listening pleasure only, but for my songwriting business music database. My question is this: I have copied everything under Program Files/iTunes folder onto another drive. If I uninstall all the apple associated programs as mentioned above and then reinstall them, what are the chances that I will be able to have all mydata on iTunes and my iPhone and iPad as they were before? Or am I going to lose everything? Contacts, apps which has my song written into etc. Has everyone who got their iTunes working after following information from here not lost any of their personal data? Thanks.

Could anyone please help me?

I'm experiencing the exact same error, i.e. " iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes." , I've followed the instructions here and more.

Done the whole delete Apple-related programs in order/download new installer/re-installed iTunes more times than I care to remember, right-clicking and selecting "repair" hasn't yield any positive results either.

Running on 64-bit Win 7. This problem came about rather suddenly and it's extremely infuriating. Please help me. On the verge of switching to a Samsung - lol!

Right, just updated windows and everything installed fine sans 1 update. No idea what that was but computer restarted perfectly fine and the error still persists. I've done the right-click and repair thing again but that didn't do anything.

I've got to get some rest now if not I'll have to explain why I turned up to work at 11am! 🙂

Will try uninstalling and reinstalling everything again tomorrow. Got anything else for me to try?
