iTunes error 7 (windows error 5)

Hi All


iTunes was working fine till the latest update and then just crashed. I have attempted to fix by uninstalling but now iTunes has reinstalled but still will not open at all.


I am on windows 7.


Any help would be much appreciated as this is frutrating me beyond belief.

Hi, I was able to finally resolve ITunes Error code 7 (windows error 5) after talking with level 2 tech support at Apple. I had to remove AVG antivirus from my PC in order to get ITunes to download. For whatever reason, AVG was interfering with the installation. I used Microsoft FixIt to uninstall AVG and then attempted to install ITunes and it worked. Check to see if you have AVG or some other type of antivirus that may be giving you trouble.
