Combined headset issue on Windows 7 (Retina MBP Late 2013)
Hello everyone,
After buying lots of adaptators on the market in order to make work the microphone on my headset (Razer Kraken pro, connector : analog 3.5 mm combined jack (headphone and mic))...I finally give up and come here to ask, what is actually the problem on Windows 7 ?
I have the late retina macbook pro 15", with a combined jack, and as I said, my headset has also a combined jack.
On Mavericks, there is absolutely no problem with the headset, both microphone and sound work, but when I need to use it on windows, the microphone does not work anymore... (Windows 7(64bits) via Boot Camp)
When I seek my headset in sound on windows, it shows up in the reading tab as "Headset, Cirrus Logic CS4208 (AB 94)".
In the recording tab, nothing shows up except the integrated one. (Cirrus Logic etc.)
You may ask me if I already checked drivers of this manufacturer, and yes I did : there is no one.
So... I might think it's a driver issue, Mac OS supports so well this combined jack, why isn't any driver on Windows ? Is there absolutely no Windows 7 computer with this kind of entry ?... I'm a bit disappointed.
I wanted to create this thread in order to ask for a new bootcamp driver or something (hoping is my credo), I actually don't want to use a usb headset ; there is only two usb ports, and I don't want to buy a hub.
