It's in the Font Book almost at the bottom of the list when "all" fonts is chosen.
Thanks. It show up in the font list under all the Chinese junk (everything's there but Klingon - I'll be more careful with my next install).
I think I'm looking for somethign else. Apple used to include its own dingbats font with the standard install. Does anyone remember the name of it?
As far as fonts that are included with Mountain Lion, unless you've removed them from the drive, you should have these to choose from:
Apple Symbols
Symbol
Webdings
Wingdings
Wingdings2
Wingdings3
Thanks.
This front is from years ago. I'm probably thinking back to OS9.
Webdings, Wingdings, Wingdings2 and Wingdings3 were also part of OS 9. But there were 105 fonts included with OS 9, and the symbol you're looking for could be in any one of them in the extended characters set.
Any possibility you could post a picture of the character you're looking for? Use the camera icon to post an image.
Here's the copmplete list from OS 9 back: http://support.apple.com/kb/ta21654
I know what the list is, I saved all of the fonts OS 9 installs to my external drive for permanent availability. What I'm wondering is if you can give me any idea what the symbol you're looking looks like. I might then be able to find out which font it's in.
No need. The list was posted just in case any lurkers are interested.
Thanks.
Okay. I'm still willing to look though if I know what the glyph looks like.
You might find them here: http://www.1001fonts.com/serif-fonts.html
DAFonts is also a good source: http://www.dafont.com.
A fair amount of junk but some good stuff as well.
