missing MSVCR80.dll file

I was prompted to update itunes, afterward I getting a error message when turning on computer indicating "cannot start APSDaemon.exe because MSVCR80.dll is missing from computer"....and now I can no longer run itunes. I tried removng and re-installing itunes, but cannot install without it.
