I purchased a LaCie 12TB RAID connected via USB and it disconnects every night. LaCie said that there was a download to fix that (Apple Download 1686) because this was a know issue in 10.8.5. I have 10.7.5. I was wondering if this fix would be applicable to my OS and more importantly, where do I find this download.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Click Finder icon in the Dock
Then click "Downloads" folder in the Finder sidebar.

I need to find the fix on the apple support website to download. Where do I get the fix # 1686 to download?
Apple does not list their updates and other downloads by number. You'll need to ask LaCie for more information as to what download they think you need. Any general updates to Mac OS X would appear though Software Update on your system, so I have no idea what they might be referring to.
