Does Mac OS have an equivalent operating command as xcopy for the microsoft operating system?

Depending on exactly what you are wanting to do, there are several copy utilities such as cp, ditto or rsync.

Or, from Terminal app:

man cp
man ditto
man rsync

and to see these in Preview as PDF:

Terminal:

man -t cp | open -f -a /Applications/Preview.app
