Bonjour not working in PC?

A few months ago I received an error code from iTunes saying that "The Bonjour had been disabled....." and I didn't pay much attention because iTunes was working perfectly fine. I just bought myself a new Mac Book Air and since it has no CD drive I wanted to Homeshare my music files from my PC to my Mac.

I turned on the feature from both computers and they wouldn't appear on my iTunes menu. I went back to my iTunes on PC went to Preferences and finally sharing. There it has the same message from above. I went to my services to "re-enable" Bonjour but it says it's running. Yet, iTunes stills says it's not. I've tried repairing from Control Panel but the problem still remains. I really don't know if the firewall has to do with it, but I turned it off and it still doesn't work.

Do I have to reinstall iTunes all over again? Or is there an easier way for me to transfer my music to my Mac? Like a USB drive perhaps? I would really try to fix this problem. Please help! Thanks.

My old PC is a Windows 7 by the way.

Hi xlucy,

Welcome to the Support Communities!

The best way to copy your music from your PC to your Mac is to backup your music to an external drive first. Here are a few articles to get you started:
