The SSD can be changed, yes, however its both expensive and impractical

I recently did a search on ebay for just this reason, and I found some fairly reasonably priced SSDs. They are roughly $1 per gigabyte, which I was HAPPY to pay for a hard drive in the previous decade!
Thanks for all your help folks, but all internal flash drive upgrades may void my warranty. I have only had the Mac Air 6 months. What I wanted to find out was if Apple upgraded the internal flash drives after purchase.
