Thank you nkhari76, this worked for me!


I was having issues with my mail connecting this morning and so i decided to delete the accounts hoping that it would resolve the issue once i added them again but i was having issues with IMAP connecting when trying to add AOL account and then when trying to set up Gmail account it wouldn't even add the account at all. Once i checked the cellular status in settings as you suggested and turned them all on, it finally worked!

I have just tried the force quitting Mail solution and it works for me.


I have had this problem for years intermittently including app specific passwords. Two factor authentication seems to start up after force quitting and restarting mail. The only problem is that I haven't figured how to get from google authenticator back to the screen where i have to put in the authentication code. So had to get the code first and hope it is still valid long enough.

This is the Microsoft program where how to be outlook configured in our Apple mobile device. This is very useful outlook program where office application would be setup for incoming and outgoing e-mail program. Microsoft outlook program stands for office 365 for PC based e-mail program but the office program e-mail setting on outlook can be vary for Microsoft office version wise. if we setup our PC,laptop,Apple devices on Microsoft office program 2012,2013,2014,2016 that we looked to see in outlook setup for incoming and outgoing configuration some differences. incoming e-mail for we configure pop3 or imap where setup would be---> imap-mail.gmail.com or pop3-mail.gmail.com here port 993 and 995 with ssl-->if our Microsoft version is different then we try-->imap.gmail.com or pop3.gmail.com or pop3.icloud.com or imap.yahoo.com here port also configure 993 and 995 with ssl.


now we need to configure SMTP-mail.yahoo.com or SMTP-mail.gmail.com or smtp.icloud.com here port 578 with ssl

sometime outlook setup time we see that incoming or outgoing e-mail server error if both or one side we saw error then our configure in Microsoft outlook version is not adopted so we should change above system then we must solve our mail setting in our APPLE ALL DEVICES.
