clip has no audio when seen on iPhone or ipad

Hi world,

I have a sizzle reel, where audio captured for one interview is audible in the timeline and in my quicktime files no problem.

But when I watch the sizzle on my ipad or iphone they audio in those clips is always missing ( the interview dialogue, not the score) .

I hear it on my desktop or with headphones. But not through the speaker of my ipad or iphone.

I tried to make it dual mono in the timeline, but then I do not hear the audio at all in the timeline. Reverse stereo does not help either.

I reimported the clips into the timeline as well no luck.

It has been drving me nuts for 2 months.

Any suggestions?
