I was wondering that if i loose my iphone IOS 7.0.4 i think, and if the thief restores it, i heard that they wont be able to activate it without my apple ID, which is good but if they connect my iphone to their wifi or put in a sim, will i be able to get the location of where it is connected via the app find my iphone, bear in mind they have reset the phone so the app is deleted?

Oh, even if I have added my iphone on Find My Iphone and activated it and everything, once the phone is restored it deleted the app and I cannot track it anymore? :(
That's correct. If you had put it in Lost Mode, then you could continue to track it. But once someone restores it then it is no longer trackable.

Oh and by restore I mean when you put it in recovery mode then connect it to itunes then it gives you the option to restore
If it were in Lost Mode, then the thief would have a locked device he/she could not use or restore. As long as the device is able to connect to the Internet either by Wi-Fi or cellular, then you can track it.

So once in lost mode the thief cannot even put the phone in Recovery mode? And I also heard that I can send the thief a message somehow, which appears when they try to activate the phone? H
You are correct. I don't know if you can send a message. Don't know what the point would be unless you just wanted to tell him/her that he/she is an SOB!
