built-in microphone does not work with Skype

Hi, I use Skype very often on my mac Air. Since yesterday the built-in microphone doesn't work on Skype although checking on my mac it does work

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

I tried whats mentioned on this link and it worked for me! Mighty pleased and what a quickfix! 🙂 I tried this on a Macbook Pro with SierraOS. Internal mic not working after updating to 10.10.1 - Divya

Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Choose the method for:

"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
