AIM for mac book pro

Honestly, I don't have much experience with AIM... I've always hated it.


I think you would be happy using either Adium or iChat.

check out adium at www.adiumx.com it's free, and it's better then AIM in my opinion.

My understanding is that AIM is pre-installed with iChat. Try opening iChat and see if it loads AIM as well.

while i agree that AIM isn't the nicest (i much preferred Trillian on my PC), some people want to have 2 AIM screen names open at once and using iChat and AIM at the same time is one way to do this. also, adiumx doesn't support video chats. 😟 i was looking for a trillian-like program on the mac so I could have my yahoo account open too.

If you're really dead-set on using the proprietary AIM application, then so be it.

Seems the "binary" is a ".bin" file, which needs to be opened using Stuffit Expander. It should be in your Applications folder.
