How do I turn OFF the threaded conversations in Mail? I just did the upgrade to Mavericks and now all my mail messages are organized into "conversations", I hate that! I set the Mail Preference to use the Classic Layout, but I can't seem to get the conversation threading garbage turned OFF...

No, you can do it for all your mailboxes at once:
1. Collapse your folder hierarchy by clicking the arrow next to the top folder, such that you only have one "root" folder showing (and closed)
2. Alt-click on the arrow to expand ALL your folders under this root folder
3. Select (highlight) the first folder by clicking on it
4. Scroll down to the bottom of your folder list and SHIFT-click on the last one -- this will select (highlight) ALL your folders
5. In the menu bar, select View > Organize by conversations -- this will set conversation view to ON for all folders
6. Repeat step 5 a 2nd time, and this will REMOVE conversation view from all folders
This works, and it just takes a minute, no matter how many folders you have.

Sorry, is this the only method of turning this "feature" off? In other words I have to manually set the preferences for every one of my 40+ mailboxes? Please, noooooooooo!
Turn off the Classic layout, then choose a mailbox, go to the View menu, and uncheck Organize by Conversation. Repeat as needed for each of your mailboxes, then turn the Classic layout back on.
