Folders in mail box

Is there a way to create folders in the in box that I am unaware of? Have tried to do via the IPad but have learnt looking for new email addresses rather than folders. Tried making folders back on the bigpond server but that didn't work. Any ideas? First time user of Apple products. Used to saving emails in dedicated folders. Using my IPad air as my only computer do not have laptop or desktop. Does anyone know if there is a work around or do I have to just to learn to live with it! Cheers.

You can only do it with IMAP email account; to do this:


1. Go to your email account in the Mail app and look at the window where your Inbox, Trash folder and Sent folder are.



2. Tap the Edit button



3. Tap Add Mailbox (bottom)



Note: If there is no Edit button, your email account is not a IMAP account
