A point in the right direction. Re reverting to Mountain Lion.

I have one more question for today. Can someone point me in the direction of instructions for reverting back to Mountain Lion.

I have to many problems with Mavericks but the main one and the deal breaker is the wifi, I have tried all the fixes I have found for the wifi but nothing is working for me it just continually connects and disconnects every few seconds.

I can connect the imac to the router via ethernet but that doesnt help me connect to anything else or for anything to connect to it.

Please note I have never done this before so a link to clear and concise step by step instruction article would be appreciated. I am not afraid to wipe everything and restart have done it millions of times with my old dell but this will be the first time I have attempted anything like this with my imac. So don't be afraid to link me to an idiot proof guide 🙂

Right reinstalled ML.

Seemed to be straightforward but turned into a bit of a nightmare.

First time it had some glitches so I reinstalled. Second time it stalled. In both instances it refused to recognise my time machine backups (all done on ML) and wouldn't restore any information. But it it did recognise all three drives.

Third time refuses to admit it has the external drive that stores the backups.

4th Install this time I decided to take it right back to Snow Leopard with the original disk. But it refused to install Snow Leopard. Cant figure out why but after 3 days I decided to instlall ML again this time from revovery and it still refuses to admit it has the external drive that has my time machine backup.

Anyone tell me any fixes for the fact it now wont find my external drive. It can find the new drive and the secondary external drive but it wont find the time machine one which is on firewire port. Now this drive has worked and been recognised all through SL, ML and Mavericks without any issues and worked fine on the first 2 installs

Wifi still not working but at least the machine is WAY faster than it had been and best of all it now doesnt grind to a halt if I open more than one app and scream that its out of memory.

Hi there I am looking for some help. Due to issues with the Mountain Lion reinstall I am trying to reinstall from the disc I got with my machine following your instructions. But the install keeps failing. "The installer could not copy the necessary support files" And suggests I restart and try again.

It keeps failing on the same message. Could you offer me any suggestions?
