you can not get a refund after the end of the 14 day return policy. You do however have a 1 year warranty. Visit your local Apple store or AASP.

shldr is correct, you cannot get a refund after the initial 14-days from purchase. There are somethings you can do:

First, check to see that the MagSafe connector is functioning: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1713

Second, click the apple left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power; what does it say about the battery Condition, Capacity, Cycle Count and when plugged in does it show that it is charging? Drop down further to the category AC Charger Information and what does it say about the charger, when connected, does it show the charger and the correct wattage?

Third, depending on the above information, you may want to make an appointment with the genius bar to have the computer checked. Click the blue Apple Retail Store below, then Genius Bar for links to make an appointment.

Try a different outlet. If you can flip the connector (mag Safe connector), see if that works. It is possible that the problem isn't with the mac, but with the power cord / adaptor. Genius bar as suggested by Ralph Landry1 is your best bet.

If the little LED on the mag safe adaptor is not lit, then the device is not charging - no power.

Byron, can you borrow a charger from someone else to see if the charger is at fault? The MagSafe LED not lighting usually means either an outlet without power or the charger itself is bad. Chargers do fail so if possible, use another charger.

If that is not possible, then the genius bar is the best option.

Whatever is wrong with the MBP it's Apple reponsibility to fix it. You paid for a comprehensive warranty on parts and labour for 12 months. Barring abuse of the computer, Apple will fix what needs to be fixed.
