whitesmoke...how to delete it?

Unknowingly my son downloaded whitesmoke.....its' causing all sorts of pop up etc. How do I get rid of it?

This completely solved my problem. I was starting to lose hope and think I would need to format my harddrive and reinstall everything with TimeCapsule, and fearing the malware would be back. I couldn't find any really suspicious add-ons in Firefox (I deleted Shockwave Flash Player with no benefit). But then I reset Firefox:

and have had no problems since, two days later. This does not seem to be an exception to the rule that Mac OS doesn't get viruses, but other software may be targeted.

this did work so far, but it only cleared the problem I was having with the home page bein corrupted by Whitesmoke

I stll have much trouble with loading many web pages - very slow "connecting"

and also I clear all the cookies and then every time I restart, I have a load of whitesmoke cookies showing in the browser again

There must be hidden files in the computer from whitesmoke that is not yet foound

whitesmoke...how to delete it?
