Ipad outlook connection to server failed

Me too - it's absolutely doing my head in - tried everything on the forums. I suspect it's Outlook side - I signed in to Hotmail there and there was a message in the footer saying "other devices are using your account - please change your POP settings if this is OK" (or something like that) - I went to try and do it and got the message "Oops - Outlook is not working right now" (or another helpful response. Geniius Bar for me.

Yes it does - but didn't want to presume it was all sorted 😁 - your email for the post came through on iPhone and iPad at same time (as it should do!)

Am biding my time - if more problems will revert to last iOS...!!

Just tested from my Mac from another email account - came through on iPhone but not iPad - 😢

The other day, I upgraded to iOS 7.0.6; today, out the blue, the connection to my Outlook account in Mail went s**t. It kept saying "Impossible to receive mail. Connection to server failed".

I tried to delete and add the account again.

I tried to reset iPad's settings to default, then re-added the account.

I tried to rebooth the iPad, then re-added the account.

I tried to reset the router by reboothing it, then re-added the account.

I tried changing Outlook POP settings to OK, then re-added the account.

I tried contacting Apple Care...where you either pay $ 50 or they tell you to consult the site's support section.

In the end, I downloaded MaillBuzr for Hotmail - a free mail app only for Outlook accounts - because I couldn't wait.

Now, let's hope Apple will fix this issue soon.
